However, we all need to be wary of the reduced opening times and closures over Easter weekend.
Some stores may be closing over the bank holiday weekend, while others may have restricted hours.
So read on for more information on Wickes, Homebase and B&Q opening hours this Easter bank holiday.
Good Friday’s opening times will be 8am until 8pm, giving you plenty of time to dash in for some last-minute shopping if you are in dire need of some emulsion paint or fancy doorknobs.
Easter Saturday will also see the store open at 8am, but will close slightly sooner at 7pm.
On Easter Sunday, the store will be completely shut as it has to comply with Government rules for Bank Holidays.
Just like Wickes, Homebase will be taking click & collect orders, and those placed on Easter Saturday evening or on Easter Sunday will be ready for collection on Monday.
On Monday, you’ll have between the hours of 8am and 7pm to head down, and normal opening hours will resume from Tuesday.
Easter Weekend opening hours for B&Q
If your local home improvement store is a B&Q, you’ll also need to take note of the changes to their opening hours to avoid any disappointment.
Whether you’re wanting to pop in for a new bed frame, some fancy tiles for a new bathroom makeover or just some tools, you might not be able to grab them if you rock up at the wrong time.
You can check for any updates and see which store is closest to you using B&Q’s store finder here.
A statement on B&Q’s website reads: “Our stores in England, Wales and Northern Ireland will be closed on Easter Sunday (4 April).
“Click + Collect orders placed on or before Saturday 3 April will be available to collect on Monday 5 April.
“Our stores in Scotland, Republic of Ireland and Isle of Man will remain open as normal.”
For the rest of the weekend, you’ll still be able to pop in on Good Friday and on Easter Saturday between the hours of 7am and 8pm.
Sunday, as stated, will see the closure of stores, but they will be open as normal from 7am until 8pm once again by Easter Monday.
