At the funeral of the Duke of Edinburgh, the two brothers were filmed talking to one another, raising hopes of a rapprochement.
However, royal author Philip Dampier claimed that much was yet to be resolved and that tensions were still high.
He told The Sun: “The discussions after Prince Philip ’s funeral were a start, but were clearly very strained and only an opening move.”
Prince Charles is said to be “deeply hurt” by Harry’s accusations, but is determined nonetheless to mend fences with his younger son.
A friend of the Prince of Wales told the Daily Mail recently: “You are looking at a father who is deeply hurt by where he finds his relationship with his son.
During the CBS interview, Harry told Ms Winfrey that he had expected more support and understanding from his father.
The Prince said: “I feel really let down because he’s been through something similar, he knows what pain feels like and Archie is his grandson.
“Of course I will always love him but there’s a lot of hurt that’s happened and I will continue to make it one of my priorities to try to heal that relationship.”
