Following conversations with members of the Royal Family, Harry and Meghan decided to announce their complete departure from the Firm.
Since then, tensions between the Sussexes have remained tense and soured more so in the aftermath of the pair’s interview with Oprah.
During the interview with Oprah, Meghan, Duchess of Sussex revealed she had struggled to adapt to life within the Firm.
The Duchess also revealed she had been isolated by members of the Royal Family who did not help her adjust to life with Prince Harry.
She told the US TV host: “There was no guidance. Unlike what you see in the movies, there’s no class on how to speak, how to cross your legs, how to be royal. That was not offered to me.
“Even down to the National Anthem – no one thought to say ‘oh you’re American, you’re not gonna know that’.
“So that’s me late at night Googling it.”
Harry also reiterated how he had struggled with anxiety and mental health struggles throughout his childhood due to the loss of his mother.
During a podcast interview with Dax Shepard, Harry also compared his life within the Firm to a cross between growing up in the zoo and ‘The Truman Show’.
Despite the fallout, Kate’s uncle Gary Goldsmith praised his niece and claimed she is a natural peacemaker.
Indeed, he also claimed the Duchess is ready to one day become Queen when the time comes.
Speaking to the Daily Mail, Mr Goldsmith said: “The ten years have been incredible for her.
“She’s taken to that job — and it is a job, her success comes from the fact she recognised that — like a duck to water, and emerged as the best thing that could have happened to the Royal Family.
“She’s their biggest asset at the moment.
“She was a breath of fresh air then and she hasn’t put a foot wrong since!”
