Kay Burley set to leave Sky News after suspension – could join Andrew Neil at GB News | UK | News

Staff at Sky News are said to be panicking after Ms Burley, who had been presenting the breakfast news slot, had agreed with bosses that she would come back “in early June” after being suspended for six months after she breached coronavirus rules. However, yesterday she changed her social profiles to remove all mention of Sky News.

This was despite previously saying she was: “The longest serving anchor on Sky.”

Her Twitter bio now states: “More live TV than anyone else, yes, really. Animal lover. Mountain climber. Impossibly proud mum.”

There is now speculation she could be jumping ship to work with Andrew Neil, with whom she became a founding presenter with when Sky News launched in 1989.

Sky News did not deny Kay Burley had left when approached for a comment.

Express.co.uk has also contacted GB News and a representative for Ms Burley.
