And Meghan is said to be planning a home birth at their £11 million mansion in Montecito.
A source told Page Six: “Meghan’s plan was to have a home birth with Archie, but you know what they say about the best-laid plans.
“In the end, her doctors advised her to go to hospital and all she was interested in was about delivering Archie safely.
“But she has a beautiful home in California, it’s a beautiful setting to give birth to her baby girl.”
Former actress Meghan gave birth to her and Harry’s son Archie at the private Portland Hospital in London.
The Sussexes announced in February they are expecting their second child.
They shared a stunning black and white snap showing them posing under a tree, with Meghan’s blooming baby bump on full display.
A spokesperson for Meghan and Harry said: “We can confirm that Archie is going to be a big brother.
“The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are overjoyed to be expecting their second child.”
During their controversial Oprah Winfey interview, which aired earlier this month, Meghan and Harry revealed they are expecting a little girl.
At the start of the tell-all interview, ex-Suits star Meghan admitted she knew the gender of the baby.
She told Winfrey: “We do this time.
“I will wait for my husband to join us and we can share that with you.”
Harry joined his wife later in the bombshell interview, and revealed: “It’s a girl.”
He said his first thought was “amazing” when he discovered the gender.
The Queen’s grandson added: “Just grateful.
“To have any child, any one or any two, would have been amazing.
“But to have a boy and then a girl, I mean what more can you ask for?
“Now we’ve got our family, we got the four of us and our two dogs.”
Asked if they were “done” with two children, Harry said “done”, and Meghan added: “Two is it.”
She also confirmed the baby is due in the “summertime”.
