Prince Philip health: Prince William gives update on grandfather’s condition – latest | Royal | News

Prince William provided royal fans concerned about Prince Philip’s health with an update. The Duke of Cambridge visited this morning a vaccination centre at the King’s Lynn Corn Exchange in Norfolk.

During his first engagement outside of his residence in Sandringham of the year, Prince William spoke to NHS staff and volunteers about their experiences of being involved in the largest vaccination programme in British history.

There, he was asked by veteran royal photographer Arthur Edwards how the Duke of Edinburgh, who was admitted to hospital last Tuesday, is doing.

Whilst giving a wink of the eye, Prince William replied saying: “Yes, he is okay – they’re keeping an eye on him.”

Last week, Buckingham Palace revealed the Duke of Edinburgh had been taken to King Edward VII Hospital following the advice of his doctor.

The palace said in a statement: “His Royal Highness The Duke of Edinburgh was admitted to the King Edward VII Hospital in London, on Tuesday evening.

“The Duke’s admission is a precautionary measure, on the advice of His Royal Highness’s Doctor, after feeling unwell.

“The Duke is expected to remain in hospital for a few days of observation and rest.”

Prince Philip’s trip to the hospital was not an emergency admission, royal sources added, saying the doctor was acting with an “abundance” of precaution.
