Prince Harry‘s brief trip to the UK to attend his beloved grandfather’s funeral also included “at least” two private meetings with the Queen, it has been reported. The Duke of Sussex travelled across the pond after Buckingham Palace announced the death of Prince Philip on April 9.

Harry, one of the Queen and Philip’s eight grandchildren, had to self-isolate for five days, in accordance with the Government guidelines on coronavirus, before being able to see his family for the first time in more than one year.

But during the few days available, he managed to speak face-to-face with the Queen, according to Harper’s Bazaar.

Royal author and Bazaar’s editor at large Omid Scobie wrote: “BAZAAR understands that Harry met the Queen, who turns 95 today, privately on at least two occasions during his time in the country.”

What was discussed during these meeting has not been disclosed.

The Duke spent a total of nine days in the UK, during which he stayed at his and Meghan Markle’s residence in Windsor, Frogmore Cottage.

While there, he had the chance to see a few members of his family, including Princess Eugenie , Jack Brooksbank and their son August Philip Hawke.
