However, a royal expert has said the Duke’s return to the UK for the event is now in doubt.
Phil Dampier, author of Royally Suited: Harry and Meghan In Their Own Words, told the Sun Online: “I personally don’t think Meghan will return to the UK.
“And there must now be a serious doubt as to whether Harry will come over for the unveiling of a statue for Princess Diana on what would have been her 60th birthday in July.”
Another royal expert said Harry may come up with a “convenient excuse” not to return to the event, he may not want to “face the family” again.
Russell Myers told talkRADIO: “His intention is to come back. One may wonder, if his wife has just had a baby, I’m sure he could jump on a private jet and make a flying visit.
“But, will it be a convenient excuse so he doesn’t have to come back and face the family?”
The Duchess of Sussex is currently heavily pregnant with her second child, with the baby due in “the summertime”.
Her pregnancy stopped the royal from attending Prince Philip’s funeral, as doctors did not give her the go-ahead to make the 5,000 mile trip.

Prince Harry cuts a figure of a “startled rabbit caught in the headlights” with his new life in the US and his recent return to the UK may have triggered past memories as he realises “how frozen out he is”, royal watchers have said.
The Duke of Sussex returned the UK for the first time in more than a year in April as he attended Prince Philip’s funeral. Harry, 36, is said to have received a frosty reception from guests and close members of his family at the service in Windsor.
The reappearance of Harry with his family was discussed on talkRADIO and it is claimed “he was reminded of his old life”.
Charlie Rae, a former royal editor at The Sun, told talkRADIO, said: “Out in the US, Harry looks like a startled rabbit caught in the headlights.”
TalkRADIO host Kevin O’Sullivan added: “We read that Harry was shocked by the frosty reception he got from some members of the Royal Family. Some literally turned their back on him. He was stunned by this – I’m not sure why that was a surprise to him.
“It must be occurring to him how frozen out he is, how he has turned his back on his former life. There is suggestion that when he came back a few weeks ago, he was reminded of his old life.”
